My Manicure: Going Back To Gradients

Tonight I attempted a rare gradient,
It didn't turn out exactly as my intent,
My gradients are never gloriously smooth,
I'm not fishing so don't compliment to soothe,
I guess I need to practice to perfect this art,
But I've done a couple so that's a start,
I taped up a digit and stamped and striped,
On another I stamped and that one I like.

My Manicure: May Day

The first of May heralds the coming of Spring,
When the sun will shine and blooms it will bring,
In Britain the day is celebrated with a day off work,
Upon the first Monday in May, we're given this perk,
At least you do if you don't work where I do,
We're given extra days in our allowance in lieu,
On this day in May, I worked from home in my nightwear,
Planning this mani when I had a moment to spare,
Brights on my digits, against a grey Scottish day,
Hoping for Spring to come knocking my way.

My Manicure: Spring Blooms

April this year comes to a rainy close,
In the bonny burgh where I do repose,
My last mani of the month just passed,
(Quite a few this month I've amassed),
Bears spring blooms upon colour block,
Upon two digits creme do some studs dock,
A dash of texture born of liquid sand,
This mani is not at all what I had planned.

p.s. to Canadians and Americans out there, it's "burrah" ;)

My Manicure: Bumblebee

Black and yellow today like bumblebees,
Buzzing around amongst flowers and trees,
Yellow painted like that round golden sun,
Nowhere to be seen, the burgh it does shun,
Stripes of yellow without the black,
On black instead the studs are stacked,
Shining gold just like my finger fourth,
And that's my mani, for what it's worth.

My Manicure: Elementary, My Dear Readers

Tomorrow night a study in scavenging will ensue,
In the burgh from Conan Doyle to Ghillie Dhu,
I'll wear a grey spotted frock and coral knit,
Studded grey shoes and earrings to fit,
Chevrons of coral, gold and turquoise hue,
Hanging from my ears and on my nails too,
My colleagues must find the treasure from my clues,
Succeed and they will get their dues,
The prizes are a dram or two on the finish line,
If they've  had enough, I'll take theirs for mine!

My Manicure: Rouge Noir

"Une superbe combinasion" the French might say,
"D'accord" I'd utter as I painted my nails today,
With American apple on two, red and bright,
One digit covered in Milani red sparkle delight,
Ethereal are my other digits two,
Black magic is what these digits brew,
Disguised by a cover of rouge noir leaf,
I'll give you a bloody kiss when we next meet.

Featuring @blackcatlacquer "Bloody Kisses", @opi_products "Big Apple Red", Milani "Red Sparkle" @ethereal_lacquer "Black Magic" and @cultnails "Nevermore" as my go to black base.

My Manicure: Underground, Overground

Underground, overground, painting on me,
Using an untried I've found heavenly,
Making good use of the things that I find,
Things that I've bought and forgotten behind.

Polish revolution is the maker of this,
The purple, blue glitter, a combo of sparkly bliss,
Underground movement is the name of the shade,
The glitters more sparkly than this photo has made.

Stamping with an untried from Dashica Dutch,
Overground in silver atop glitter isn't too much,
The silver swirls  in a diagonal frame,
Making a manicure that made me exclaim.
