My Manicure: Saturday Skittle

Whilst middle is stumped and round,

Something simple has to be found,

The hundreds of designs that I've drawn,

Will have to wait until a new dawn,

A cheeky stamp upon Nevermore black,

Next to Aquadelic and Honey Ryder lacq,

Dahlia sparkles on index one,

But thumb so sparkly has all the fun,

Nevermore topped with Scooby Doo,

And Ever After just because I wanted to,

My simple stamping is a Saturday Skittle,

Do you like it at all, a lot or just a little?

My Manicure: Man Down; An Ode to My Broken Fingernail

I don't know but I've been told,

You don't leave friends out in the cold,

When you find you're one man down,

You soldier on without a frown,

Tell yourself to "dry your tears,

You can still paint, despite your fears",

Cover up with glitter and shine,

No one will see between the lines,

Pretty it up with some nail art,

No one will care more than a fart.

Against the fishnet baring,

Not on every finger,

My Manicure: It's Not Easy Being Green

It's not easy being green,

Growing flowers is what I mean,

Making beauty from earth to sprout,

Is not my forte, there's no doubt,

But on my digits green is simple,

Painting flowers in a twinkle,

Even easier to immerse in water,

When you have no time to potter,

Is a decal of ready made bouquet,

Stick it on and there's no delay!

Sometimes you spy a fabulous frock,

Sometimes colours are set out like block,

Sometimes a pattern makes you gawk,

This happened here, my eyes out on stalks.

The splash of red hued palms  on white,

The band of black holding the waist in tight,

The colours that go together just right,

Called to nail art with an excited invite.

Today my manicure is for a friend,

Who's had bad news for which there's no mend,

To show her that she's in our thoughts,

To show her that we love her lots,

We've joined together to use purple paint,

Donned butterflies without restraint,

To give her spirit a bit of pep and cheer,

From all of us, whether far or near.

A fringe is upon my finger tonight,

Strands of black upon some white,

Trimmed with dots of English black,

Bottoms up to pink atop all that.
