Saima's Spotted Stripes

It's no secret that I like spots,
Those perfect circular little dots,
In any colour of the rainbow,
I love to see them everywhere I go,
In my clothes, my handbags and my shoes,
And also on my fingers and my toes,
Today I'm wearing spots AND stripes,
To match a frock I'll wear on Saturday night.

Monochromatic Red

I drew this design a few weeks ago and decided I should do it tonight instead of sitting on it!

Matching Manis

I babysat last week and of course a manicure was in the offing.....

Not Nails......Shoes!

Last week I got my first Irregular Choice shoes in their sale.  I chose the less extreme designs so no plastic birds perched on my toes!  Although I do like the purple velvet ones with said bird.....

The shoes come in adorable boxes that have cord handles,  a gorgeous design and the same design on the soles. The standard design is one featuring little elephants in a pastel pattern but one pair had a special design of a parachuting panda on a lilac pattern.

Check them out:

Freehand Fail

And a gradient fail. My gradient isn't smooth and my freehand has chunky brushstrokes but I got an Ott lamp so my night photos are better! Every cloud.....

I used OPI "A Roll in the Hague" & "Kiss me on my Tulips" with Cult Nails "Time Traveller" and a metallic gold acrylic paint.

Delicate Does It.....

Today's manicure is again inspired by fashion (my head is teeming with ideas!) and features some delicate stamping in Essie "Penny Talk" over Essie "Brooch the Subject" and some striping tape edged with Orly "Flagstone Rush":

Sari Saima

Today's post is inspired by some sari fabric I saw in a catwalk photograph.  Technically this isn't a sari the model is wearing but I love alliteration!

Volcano Sands

Volcano sands in my fingers dipped,
Sparkle of molten red not to be missed,
Only three fingers did I burn,
With your lava so lush the earth did churn,
The fourth was far too posh to stay,
In the dark of your liquid sand soiree,
Instead she led a butterfly to sit atop,
To feel the heat and accent the lot.

This manicure used OPI Liquid Sand in "Stay the Night", Zoya "Posh" and a Red Angel stamp.
